The human brain is an extraordinary processor of information, but in its efforts to make sense of the overwhelming amount of stimuli we take in daily, even it can take some potentially harmful shortcuts. We all do it - it's unavoidable. Every human being makes immediate, snap decisions about new people or groups based on many factors. It is purely instinctual and happens faster than we can comprehend. This process is called Unconscious Bias. Unconscious bias cannot be stopped, but we can learn how to use logical thought to ensure that we don’t let it impact negatively in the workplace.

The theme of this session is positive intent, cultivating healthy dialogue and empowering fellow attendees to show up authentically.
